Marketing Masterplan
The Marketing MasterPlan
The Marketing MasterPlan is a must for anyone thinking about starting a new business or for those that want to grow their existing businesses.
What is it?
The Marketing MasterPlan is a six-step process that I have created that I use to develop comprehensive marketing programs for small business owners, just like you.
The Marketing MasterPlan is more than education. It includes multiple consultations, researching, reports, and the development of a written marketing plan.
Once the plan has been written, I provide assistance in it's implementation and help in evaluating the results of your marketing vehicles.
Finally, a follow-up consultation is sceduled to assist you in interpreting the results and fine-tuning your program to make it more effective.
The six steps are:
- Identifying
- Researching
- Developing
- Implementing
- Evaluating
- Refining
What does it Cost?
The Marketing MasterPlan is only $1,000. You'll never get so much for such a small investment anywhere. You will learn more (and end up understanding more) by getting the Marketing MasterPlan than you would get with a marketing degree from college, and you it will take a lot less time!
Hire a "degree" and they can tell you how to spend your marketing budget, with a big chunk going to them and for what? A degree? If you are a college graduate (I am, more than once) you know that it is only very basic preparation for what you learn in the workplace.
Experience in successfully marketing and growing businesses TRUMPS a trunk full of diplomas, and you know that.
Starting a New Business?
The Marketing MasterPlan will help you get that new business off to a right start. It might even reveal that it won't work!
Most Small Business Startups Fail ...
But you already knew that ... I hope! Guess what? I know why they fail. You may think that you know why.
If you were to say "undercapitalization", that would be a good guess, but you would be wrong along with just about everybody else.
Your small business startup is most likely going to fail. Sorry to be a bearer of truth. It is just in the percentages.
The data used to create this graph comes from a special tabulation by the Bureau of the Census produced for the Office of Advocacy of the U.S. Small Business Administration.
While these data look at the 1992 cohort of new single-establishment businesses, the failure rate percentages are almost identical for all the cohorts that researchers have looked at.
So, these are pretty much the one through ten year survival rates of new firms.
The percentage of new businesses founded in 1992 that were still alive in 2002 was a meager 29%. When it comes to smaller business operations of fewer than ten employees, the numbers are even worse.
| Year | Failures |
| 1992 | 0% |
| 1993 | 25% |
| 1994 | 36% |
| 1995 | 44% |
| 1996 | 50% |
| 1997 | 55% |
| 1998 | 60% |
| 1999 | 63% |
| 2000 | 66% |
| 2001 | 69% |
| 2002 | 71% |
25% fail in the first year and 50% fail by year 4. In ten years, 71% will fail.
Why Tell You All Of This?
Because even though I may not know you, I do care about you, your relationships and your happiness.
It would be far better for you to have a seasoned small business consultant (me) point out potential hazards and issues that would make your business's success a long shot and have you decide to NOT do it than to go through years of struggle and end up in financial (and usually relational and emotional) ruin.
If you don't want to hire me, find several businesspeople that you admire and ask them to evaluate your business plan. If they are candid, they may tell you that they wouldn't try it.
It has nothing to do with your skills. Hey, you're probably expert in your field. It doesn't matter. Being an expert simply is not good enough.
You may be working for someone else and you are better than them. That doesn't mean you can run a more profitable business than they can.
